The Liu’s Folk House located in Xiwenxing Village at 25km southwest from Qinshui County is the mansion of the Liu Zong-yuan’s (a famous writer of the Tang Dynasty) offspring of the same clan. It has 8 complete quadrangular courtyards since the Ming Dynasty, covering the floor area of more than 20000m2, and it is a typical ancient building of Ming and Qing castle type high-rise house. The higher design level of building, exquisite layout and structure, particular technical design and deep cultural art are really rare in the ancient folk houses of China.
